When I woke up this morning, I realized that I haven’t posted much this week. I was busy making precious memories with my family. It’s been such a crazy and hectic week in this house. I am sure many of you that are parents can relate to these kinds of weeks. Even though my kids are homeschooled, I have them involved in so many extracurricular activities. I feel like we are never home.
The highlight of my week this week was on Wednesday. I wanted to share with all of you my experience. My oldest daughter, Olivia, will be making her first communion this year. She is so excited, and we have been busy preparing for that. On Wednesday, my mother and I got to spend some quality time with her. My mom wanted to dress shop with Olivia and be there for when she “said yes to the dress”. It brought back memories of when I went wedding dress shopping with my mom a few years ago.
As Olivia put on her dress, I was flooded with emotions. She looked like a little bride and the reality of how quickly she is growing up hit me hard. I wish I could stop the clock, even for just a short time. The smile on my daughter’s face when she found “the one” lit up the entire room. Everyone in the store commented on how happy and beautiful she looked. It was such a special moment for all of us. The one thing that I have learned over the past few years is that life is short. We never know what tomorrow will bring. I am so grateful that my mom was with us to share in this special moment. It will be a memory I will cherish forever.
That was my week!! It was long and hectic, but also filled with so much excitement and memories. Next week I will be back to my normal posting and find you some great deals. Hope you all had a great week and made some magical memories yourself.
