It’s Wednesday!!! This week is going fast and I am loving it. It was definitely a difficult week for me to start my journey to a new healthier lifestyle since yesterday was Valentine’s Day. But, I made it through with only a few bumps in the road and I am super proud of myself.
Yesterday, I woke up to homemade cards and bracelets that my daughters made for me all by themselves. Since having children, the dynamics of Valentines Day has changed so much. It’s so much better now having 2 more people in my life to love and cherish. Don’t get me wrong, my husband has always made Valentine’s Day magical for me but when you see the holiday through the eyes of a child, you start to see the world with innocence and pure joy. Material things don’t matter, and you enjoy the precious time you get to spend with your family.
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day? I made a homemade meal for my family and we spent the night together playing Nintendo Switch. Yes, I cheated a little with my diet. I couldn’t resist the chocolate laying around the house and the conversation hearts that my kids got. But, that wasn’t so bad and today I am right back on track.
